Emma has created a very beautiful space - I have been twice now to do some pottery painting with my siblings and created some wonderful memories here with them. I have also planned more visits too. I love the calm atmosphere, not like the pottery cafes in the town centres that rush you and feel so overwhelming this is the opposite. Perfect for any occasion really. It is highly addictive, my new hobby for sure! Also very reasonably priced!

My son celebrated his birthday with friends at this studio. It was unforgettable!
A cosy, inspiring studio, a completely new experience, and real freedom of creativity. The children were 6–7 years old; some of them needed to move and have a short break in the middle of the session, and the lovely little garden by Emma was perfect for that.

My son was absolutely fascinated by pottery! And I was truly delighted with the results! The children’s bowls and Christmas decorations turned out so bright, varied, and beautifully finished by Emma.

My son is planning to continue taking lessons with Emma and to further develop his pottery skills.
Thank you so much Emma!

We enjoyed a fabulous afternoon in Emma’s pottery barn, creating some beautiful pieces and making happy memories on our holiday in Brighton. We were literally staying round the corner in Portslade so it was a perfect location. But it’s very easy to get to on the number 6 bus route or parking outside if needed. Lots of different pottery items to choose from and a whole rainbow of colours to paint with.
Will definitely come back if we’re in Brighton again.

My 2 daughters (16 & 13) went for a session. My 13 yo has written the review: We had a fantastic session here at Parkside Pottery. Emma was so helpful, easy-going, and just a lovely person. There was a nice selection of pots, paints, and tools to choose from at affordable prices. It was a small group - 5 people for the 2h 30 duration. This was a delightful experience - 100% would go again and would recommend to friends!

My friend treated me and 2 family members to a pottery session in Emma's studio and it was fantastic! The garden it's set in is quirky and attractive, and the studio is well equipped. Emma is very knowledgeable and great at demonstrating and gave us a lot of freedom about what to make, as well as useful tips and guidance. She was brilliant with my 89 year old mum who's hard of hearing and claims she isn't at all creative! We all came away having made things we really liked, and having had a wonderfully enjoyable afternoon together. Highly recommended

Parkside Pottery is a lovely place to begin to explore clay. The studio is cosy and welcoming. There is a huge range of tools and many colours to pick from. Lots of support is on hand to help you envisage and create your piece. The atmosphere is playful and supportive and this is very reassuring to novices like me. It's a magical space to relax in and really let your imagination roam free. I made a whole set of tiles and I was delighted with the end result.
